Traffic rules in Dubai are strictly enforced. The traffic police may not stop a driver for minor violations such as talking on the phone or driving without a seatbelt. Fines are also issued automatically by cameras for violations. In such cases, drivers may not be aware of the fine for some time.

  • Online through the Dubai Police website or the Dubai Police app
  • At police stations and self-service kiosks
  • At Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offices
  • At banks, exchange offices, EPPCO and ENOC gas stations

It is important to pay all fines on time. Failure to pay will result in additional penalties, a travel ban, or vehicle confiscation.
