Lamborghini Huracan
The Ferrari F8’s twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 announces itself before you pull away — a low, mechanical rumble at idle that sharpens into a layered exhaust note as the revs build. Inside, the driver-focused cockpit wraps you in Alcantara, carbon fibre trim, and fine leather: materials you feel first, not simply admire. The 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox responds in milliseconds, keeping every shift precise whether you’re threading through city traffic or cruising an open stretch of highway.
With 720 HP and rear-wheel drive, the F8 communicates road texture and steering input with rare clarity — giving you full situational awareness on Sheikh Zayed Road or pulling up to a five-star hotel entrance. This isn’t a car you simply drive. It’s one you remain acutely aware of, at all times.
Low, wide, unmistakably red — the F8’s silhouette reads instantly at every traffic light. The route from City Walk to Kite Beach takes under 20 minutes and delivers one of Dubai’s finest perspectives from behind the wheel.
Two carry-on bags fit in the 200-litre front trunk. For one traveller with compact luggage, it works perfectly — plan around the two-seat limit.
Meydan Bridge after 23:00, when traffic clears, and the area around Dubai Frame both offer dramatic backdrops. The F8’s profile photographs exceptionally well under artificial light.
From November through March, evening temperatures hold between 18–24°C — ideal conditions for fully engaging with the car. In summer, plan drives after 21:00 to avoid the heat.
«
Practical note: The F8 sits at approximately 105 mm ground clearance. In older districts — Bur Dubai, Deira — slow to 10 km/h over speed bumps. In mall parking structures, use upper levels (P1–P3) only, where ramps are smooth and gradients are gentle. Avoid lower levels in Marina Mall and similar venues.
Two comparisons come up consistently: the Lamborghini Huracán and the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The Huracán is sharper, louder, more angular — a statement in a different register entirely. The F8 offers something more considered: lighter steering at city speeds, a suspension that absorbs Dubai’s surface variations without harshness, and a cockpit that prioritises driver connection over theatre.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S delivers all-wheel-drive confidence and four-seat practicality, but its character is composed and measured by design. The F8’s rear-wheel-drive chassis and direct steering make it the more involving choice for those who want unfiltered feedback from the road.
If the Huracán is engineered for intensity and the 911 Turbo S for all-weather authority, the F8 occupies its own ground — Ferrari’s signature balance of mechanical precision and sensation. If you’re still weighing your options, the full range of sport cars available for rent at Brook Drive covers everything from focused two-seaters to grand tourers.
«
Speed buffer: Dubai roads carry a standard 20 km/h tolerance above posted limits. Abu Dhabi does not. If you plan a day trip, adjust your habits accordingly.
The F8’s daily rate decreases as the rental period extends — a 30-day rental can reduce the effective daily cost by up to 50% compared to short-term pricing. For extended stays or business visitors, that’s a meaningful difference.
